Note from the Editors:
As we turn the final page of The Mary Word, we
reflect on our incredible journey. Our edition, 'On My
Mary Way', marks both the end of an era and the beginning of
new adventures.
Graduation is a bittersweet milestone for the entire Loreto community, filled
with joy and excitement to see where our futures might take us, but also a sense of
sadness and nostalgia for the memories we are leaving behind. Over the years at
Loreto, we have seen the essence of The Mary Word. We have seen it grow, expand,
contract, and evolve to capture the nurturing school spirit and inspiring voices of our community's most creative souls. In doing so, we have seen The Mary Word shift and
become a safe space for the creativity of many.
It has been an absolute privilege to lead this publication as Editors-In-Chief, alongside our dear editors, design team, and supervising teachers. We are deeply thankful for their support, especially from Mr. Scali. You are our rock! None of this would have been possible without you, as you have shown us what it takes to be a successful and kind team player.
Thank you to the readers, the writers, the teachers and our supporters. To anyone who
has contributed to any articles or videos - thank you. Your passion has been evident,
and we cannot wait to continue reading in the future.
In the spirit of graduation, we say goodbye whilst happily embracing change and
hoping to pursue excellence. We hope you all remember the gift of words,
literature, art and creativity, and to always wield it as a tool to make the
world a better place (one Mary Word edition at a time)!
All the best,
Nikie, Avery, Tahlia, and Virginia
