You may have heard that this week is reconciliation week - but fear not, Loreto will be extending this worthy campaign to Wednesday Week 6 (6th of June).
This year, Reconciliation Australia invites all Australians to learn more about the culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, to share that knowledge so that we can grow as a nation.
So… just in time for the long weekend, Loreto will be hosting a giant book swap!!
Come down Wednesday Lunchtime in Week 6 to be part of this awesome cause! The Great Book Swap will raise money to improve literacy levels in remote communities. The money raised will go towards buying books for Indigenous children.
The Indigenous Literacy Fund hopes to raise over $300,000 and we need you to help achieve this worthy goal! All you have to do is bring any book and a gold coin donation to swap it for a new one!
“The Great Book Swap is a win-win. Not only does it help raise money to improve literacy levels in remote communities, but it is also an opportunity for you to get a great new book” - Andy Griffiths, Lifetime Ambassador
